Weekly Service - Sunday 10th January

Sunday 10th January - 1st Sunday of Epiphany

Good Morning & welcome all to our online Sunday Gathering

This morning’s service will be lead by Jeanette, with music, readings & prayers and the talk from Richard, all streamed Live on Facebook at 10:30am.

Our bible readings for today are Mark 1.4-11 and Acts 19.1-17

You will be able to follow the entire service on the screen. A copy of this liturgy is also available if you click the below link.

If you are watching alone or missing seeing people from church, is there someone you can make contact with to see if they fancy joining you for a chat on WhatsApp / Zoom / Facetime or the telephone after the Live Stream service? Grab a coffee and have a catch up much like you would in church on a Sunday morning. If you are not sure who you could make contact with please speak to Vicar Lee or one of the churchwardens (Dave, Jeanette, Maria or Alan) and we will see what we can arrange for you.

***UPDATE: a recording of the service has been added below***

Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of changed hearts and lives. He told people to believe in the One who would come after him. That One is Jesus”

personal prayer time

As we enter a new year and find ourselves in lockdown again, it seems appropriate to revisit some of our recommended resources that can help with a daily or regular time of prayer or reflection.

LECTIO 365 is a daily devotional resource that helps you pray the Bible every day.

Written by Pete Grieg and other leaders from the 24-7 Prayer movement this resource helps you engage with Scripture to inspire prayer and shape your life.

Lectio 365 is inspired by Lectio Divina, a way of meditating on the Bible that’s been used by Christians for centuries. Each day, Pause to be still. Rejoice with a Psalm and Reflect on Scripture. Ask for God’s help, and Yield to His will in your life.

Both text and audio options are available. You can find out more here: https://www.24-7prayer.com/dailydevotional
