GOOD MORNING & WELCOME ALL TO OUR SUNDAY GATHERING - IN CHURCH AND ONLINE

This morning’s service comes from Holy Trinity, Hotwells. Wayne will be leading the service this morning with music from Katy, readings & prayers and the talk from Nick, all streamed Live on Facebook at 10:30am.

Our bible readings for today are 2 Corinthians 12.2-10 and Mark 6.1-13

As we are streaming the live service from church you may just wish to enjoy watching and listening to the words (liturgy), you will also be able to follow the church screen at times. If you would prefer to follow along more closely please download the slides linked below.

If you are watching from home and missing seeing people from church, is there someone you can make contact with to see if they fancy joining you for a chat on WhatsApp / Zoom / Facetime or the telephone after the Live Stream service? Grab a coffee and have a catch up much like you would in church on a Sunday morning. If you are not sure who you could make contact with please speak to Vicar Lee or one of the churchwardens (Dave, Jeanette, Maria or Alan) and we will see what we can arrange for you.

*** UPDATE: a recording of the service has now been added below ***

JUNIOR & SMALL CHURCH

This week’s worksheets are linked to the other readings from the lectionary, focusing on David & the city of Jerusalem. This includes an active prayer suggestion to look online and pray for the city of Jerusalem today . . .

thank you day

Before normal life takes over again, we want to pause and say thank you to everyone who helped. From neighbours who kept the noise down or dropped off the shopping, mum and dad for putting up with us under the same roof, delivery drivers and supermarket security guards who kept us fed, local shop keepers who stayed open, care workers, doctors, nurses, volunteers, and everyone who obeyed the rules, we couldn’t have done it without each other.

Sunday 4th July is the day before the NHS’s birthday so it’s a perfect moment for the country’s biggest ever thank you party. A chance to get together in the sunshine (we hope), with our neighbours, communities and families, to mark what has happened, celebrate the spirit that got us through and say thank you. It doesn’t matter how we do it, just get together and say thank you in our own way. Have a barbecue or a street party, raise a glass or a mug of tea, bake for your neighbours.
