Good Morning & welcome all to our virtual Sunday Gathering

Vicar Lee will be leading the entire service this morning, starting on Facebook Live at 10:30am

UPDATE: A recording of this has been added below.

If you would like to follow along with the liturgy please open the service booklet using the link below.

Some people need more than hearing the stories of others, they need to see it and touch it and experience it”

Please wait until after you have heard Lee lead us through today’s service before you go to the rest of our virtual service below.

If you are watching with family then we encourage you to take a few moments to chat about what you hear today. If you are watching alone then maybe you could make contact with 1 or 2 others over WhatsApp or even a Zoom call, with a coffee in hand - much like you would do most Sunday mornings.

Easter Pilgrim

Days 6 to 10 ‘Hallowed be Your Name’

God is deeply personal. God knows us calls us by name. God does not see you as a number or statistic but as a friend. God’s invitation to each of us is to relationship: that is why we say hallowed be your name. Friends are honest with each other. The psalms teach us this radical honesty with God. It is better to tell God when we are angry and afraid, when we doubt and question, when we cry out “How long?” When we suffer, we do not need to pretend and be polite. God holds our pain.

To find out how you can receive the daily ‘Easter Pilgrim - The Lord’s Prayer’ reflections, see the Church of England website.

For our closing prayer this Sunday

A Blessing of Solitude

May you recognise in your life the presence, power, and light of your soul.

May you realise that you are never alone, that your soul in its brightness and belonging connects you intimately with the rhythm of the universe.

May you have respect for your own individuality and difference.

May you realise that the shape of your soul is unique, that you have a special destiny here, that behind the facade of your life there is something beautiful, good, and eternal happening.

May you learn to see yourself with the same delight, pride, and expectation with which God sees you in every moment.
