Sunday Service - 26th April

Sunday 26th April - 3rd Sunday of Easter

Psalm 100.jpg

Good Morning & welcome all to our virtual Sunday Gathering

There is no Facebook Live Stream this week

Frances will be leading the whole service this morning, it’s pre-recorded so you can watch it all here from 10:30am (the video will be added to this page shortly before that).

The words will be on the screen this week following the service booklet linked below.

Please wait until 10:30am to watch the video below, that way many of us will be ‘gathered’ to watch it at the same time.

If you are watching with family then we encourage to take a few moments to chat about what you hear today. If you are watching alone then maybe you could make contact with 1 or 2 others over WhatsApp or even a Zoom call, with a coffee in hand - much like you would do most Sunday mornings.

EASTER PILGRIM

DAYS 11 TO 15, ‘YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IN HEAVEN’

Why is there so much pain and suffering? Why has so much sorrow been released by a single virus? We must ask the question. We will never know the full answer. This line takes us back to a deeper, stronger understanding of time. The world is not yet as God wills it to be. There will be no disease or death when God’s kingdom comes in all it’s fullness. For now we celebrate all that remains good in the world and offer our talents to promote this. We groan with all creation in suffering and we look forward to the day when all things will be well. When all will know your love, your peace and your joy enduring through the hardest of days.

To find out how you can receive the daily ‘Easter Pilgrim - The Lord’s Prayer’ reflections, see the Church of England website.

For our closing prayer this Sunday

all shall be well quote.jpg

Dear Lord, we thank you that you are the God of all generations and nations.

Thank you that you are with us not only in times of joy but also in times of trouble.

Be with us now as we give you our praise and worship.

Amen.
