Weekly Service - Sunday 24th January

Sunday 24th Jan - 3rd Sunday of Epiphany

Good Morning & welcome all to our online Sunday Gathering

This morning’s service will be lead by Phil, with music, readings & prayers and the talk from Lee, all streamed Live on Facebook at 10:30am.

Our bible readings for today are Revelation 19.6-10 and John 2.1-11

You will be able to follow the entire service on the screen. A copy of this liturgy is also available if you click the below link.

If you are watching alone or missing seeing people from church, is there someone you can make contact with to see if they fancy joining you for a chat on WhatsApp / Zoom / Facetime or the telephone after the Live Stream service? Grab a coffee and have a catch up much like you would in church on a Sunday morning. If you are not sure who you could make contact with please speak to Vicar Lee or one of the churchwardens (Dave, Jeanette, Maria or Alan) and we will see what we can arrange for you.

*** UPDATE: A recording of the service has now been added below ***

personal prayer time

During this 3rd lockdown we are revisiting a few devotional resources that can help with a daily or regular time of prayer or reflection. As we will be hearing from our mission partners Chris and Sarah on their work for A Rocha this morning here is a fresh resource that you may like to explore in the coming weeks.

A Rocha International offers two prayer resources:

A prayer calendar

You can use this prayer calendar each day for a month. These prayers are inspired by questions such as ‘What does God reveal of His concerns in the Scriptures?’, ‘What pleases Him?’ and ‘What is on His heart?’

An interactive map

Use the map to experience some of the glorious bird songs and strange calls that you would hear at their conservation sites. As you listen, you could pray that future generations will hear these songs in these places. Please pray for the local communities and A Rocha teams who are working together to make this happen.
